What you need to know about Thursday's 'slow roll' interstate protest

A group of truckers plan to hold a demonstration on interstates around Sioux Falls on Thursday morning to protest problems facing the trucking industry. The group will have a "slow roll" on I-29, I-229 and I-90, according to Jeremy Johnson, an organizer of the event. The demonstration, which involves a line of semi-trucks driving at a reduced speed, will loop around Sioux Falls and continue onto Pierre, Johnson said.

Demand for protein such as beef, eggs and poultry helped the agricultural giant rebound from its steepest quarterly profit decline in four years. Scoular, Elkhart Cooperative announce partnership

ELKHART, KANSAS, U.S. Scoular Co. and Elkhart Cooperative on Sept. 25 announced a partnership that will create an additional 2 million bushels of grain storage space. Elkhart Cooperative, which operates 11 locations in Southwest Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma and already handles over 10 million bushels a year, said it needed more space at its Elkhart facility and worked with Scoular on a solution.
